Casa al Día terms of service
Version 0.1.0 (draft). Last updated October 14, 2026.
Casa al Día is operated by Third Space Ventures LLC.
1. Who we are and accepting these terms
1.1 These terms of service ("Terms") govern your use of Casa al Día (the "Service") at casa-al-dia.com. The Service is operated by Third Space Ventures LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, of 447 Broadway FL 2 STE 3065, New York, NY 10013, USA ("TSV", "we", "us").
1.2 In these Terms:
- "you" means anyone who creates an account or uses the Service;
- the "account holder" is the person who creates a household's account and buys its plans; and
- the "employer" is whoever employs the household workers registered in that household. Usually that is the account holder.
1.3 When you create your account, you accept these Terms and the Cancellation and refund policy, and you confirm you have read the Privacy policy. The employer also accepts the Data processing agreement when registering their first household worker. If an advisor creates a household for a client, the advisor confirms they act for the employer with the employer's authorization, and accepts the Data processing agreement on the employer's behalf. If you act for a company, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
1.4 You must be an adult with legal capacity to enter into contracts.
2. What Casa al Día is
2.1 Casa al Día is a web app, in English, for people who own a home in Mexico. It helps you:
- keep records of the household workers the employer employs, their working conditions, pay stubs and benefits;
- check those conditions against the current labor and social-security rules, and estimate wages, IMSS contributions, aguinaldo, vacation, vacation premium and, where relevant, final pay;
- produce documents for household workers in Spanish, such as the employment contract and pay stubs, and send them by WhatsApp or email;
- keep track of your vacation rentals: platform withholding, the yearly income threshold, lodging tax and local registries, and prepare a packet of information for your contador;
- see a calendar of deadlines and get reminders by email and, if you turn it on, WhatsApp.
2.2 The labor and IMSS rules are federal and apply throughout Mexico. Vacation-rental rules depend on the state; the Service shows which states are covered (at launch, Jalisco and Nayarit).
2.3 Besides the app, we offer two services handled by our team: "Done for you" (section 6) and "Concierge" (section 7).
2.4 Access to the app and to your plan's features starts as soon as Stripe confirms your payment. Sections 6 and 7 give the timing for "Done for you" and "Concierge".
3. What Casa al Día is not
3.1 We are not a law firm or an accounting firm. We don't give legal, tax or accounting advice, and using the Service does not create a lawyer-client or accountant-client relationship. The information, calculations and templates in the Service are general.
3.2 Every calculation is an estimate. The amounts in the Service come from the rules we publish for each year and state, with their sources and a "how we calculated this" breakdown. Laws, minimum wages, rates and authorities' positions change, and every case has its own facts. Confirm the amounts with a labor lawyer or a contador before you make a decision.
3.3 No money moves through the Service. We never receive, hold, transfer or pay wages, IMSS contributions, Infonavit contributions, taxes or any other amount for you. You pay your workers, IMSS and SAT directly. Marking a payment as made in the Service only creates a record.
3.4 We don't file with SAT. We don't file tax returns or act as your tax representative. The only procedures we handle in the employer's name are the IMSS procedures in sections 6 and 7.
3.5 We never ask for SAT passwords, your CIEC or e.firma files. If anyone asks for them on behalf of Casa al Día, don't hand them over, and tell us at hola@casa-al-dia.com.
3.6 We are not the employer. The labor and social-security obligations to household workers (contract, wages, IMSS, aguinaldo, vacation, ending employment) belong to the employer, not to us. The tax obligations on rentals belong to whoever receives the rental income.
4. Accounts, members and access
4.1 You sign in with a code we email you. Keep that email account secure, and tell us right away if you suspect someone else has accessed your account.
4.2 Each household is an account. The account holder can invite:
- co-owners, with admin access; and
- advisors, meaning property managers and contadores, who may work across several households.
4.3 The account holder decides who can access the household and is responsible for what invited members do. Advisors confirm they have each household's authorization to work in it.
4.4 Keep your account information accurate and current. The calculations depend on it.
5. Household workers' data
5.1 For the personal data of household workers (and of the beneficiaries they name), the employer is the data controller (responsable) and we act as the employer's processor (encargado): we process it only on the employer's behalf and to provide the Service, under the Data processing agreement.
5.2 The employer agrees to:
- give their household workers a privacy notice and get their consent where the law requires it;
- record in the Service that the worker agreed to receive their documents on WhatsApp before turning that channel on, and turn it off if they withdraw;
- enter accurate data and not enter sensitive personal data (for example about health, ethnic origin, religion or sex life), which the Service doesn't need.
5.3 Household workers have no account and never sign in. They receive their documents by WhatsApp or, failing that, by email or on paper.
6. "Done for you" (IMSS registration)
6.1 "Done for you" is a one-time service per household worker (US$79 as of this version). Our team registers the household worker in IMSS's program for household workers, in the employer's name and on their behalf, and posts the first payment slip (línea de captura) in the Service. When you buy it, you expressly agree that the charge is made before the service is provided.
6.2 We start only after the employer uploads to the Service:
- an authorization signed by the employer, allowing us to handle the registration in their name; and
- the documents about the household worker that the registration needs, such as their official ID, CURP and proof of address.
6.3 We aim to complete the registration within 10 business days of receiving the authorization and complete documents. That depends on the IMSS portal being available. The employer pays IMSS contributions directly.
6.4 If IMSS rejects the registration because information is missing or wrong, we'll say what is needed to try again. Refunds for this service follow the Cancellation and refund policy.
7. "Concierge"
7.1 "Concierge" is a monthly add-on (US$29 a month as of this version) to monthly plans that include household workers. Our team generates each official IMSS payment slip (línea de captura) for the household's registered workers on the IMSS portal and posts it in the Service with its amount and due date. The service starts once the employer uploads the signed authorization in section 6.2, if they haven't already.
7.2 We aim to post each slip at least 5 business days before its due date. The employer pays IMSS directly and should check that the amount matches their records.
7.3 If we can't generate a slip for reasons outside our control, such as the IMSS portal being down or information missing, we'll tell the employer so they can generate it themselves before the due date.
8. Contracts and other documents
8.1 The Service produces a household employment contract in Spanish, which is the governing text, with an English translation beside it. Until a labor lawyer we engage has reviewed the text, the document carries a watermark saying it is a draft pending legal review.
8.2 The employer decides the working conditions entered, reviews the document before signing, and gives the household worker their signed copy.
8.3 Pay stubs and other documents are produced from the data entered in the Service. The employer is responsible for making sure they reflect what was actually paid.
9. Prices, payment and automatic renewal
9.1 Plans and prices are published at casa-al-dia.com and shown, with the total amount, before you pay. Prices are in US dollars (US$). Payments are processed by card through Stripe; we never receive or store full card numbers.
9.2 Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period and are charged in advance to your card on file until you cancel. Before you pay, the Service shows prominently how often you'll be charged, how much and on what date, and asks for your express consent to those recurring charges and to being charged in advance. Before each renewal, we email you the amount and the charge date at least 5 calendar days in advance or, for yearly plans, 30 to 45 days before. You can cancel without penalty before the charge.
9.3 Any applicable taxes are included in the total shown before you pay.
9.4 You change plans, or the number of workers or properties, inside the Service, which shows the prorated adjustment before you confirm.
9.5 If a charge fails, Stripe retries it and we let you know. If payment isn't brought up to date, we may limit the Service to viewing and downloading documents until it is.
9.6 We may change our prices. We'll email you 30 calendar days in advance, and the new price applies from your first renewal after that period. You can cancel without penalty before that renewal.
10. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time from the billing section of the Service. Cancellation, refunds and their time limits follow the Cancellation and refund policy.
11. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Service for anything unlawful, to avoid obligations to household workers, or to give false information to an authority;
- enter data about people without the right to do so;
- try to access other people's accounts or data, test the Service's security without our written permission, or interfere with how it runs;
- copy, resell or scrape the Service or its content, or reverse engineer it, except to the extent the law allows.
12. Your content
12.1 The information and documents you upload remain yours. You give us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process and display them only as needed to provide the Service.
12.2 You can download your documents and data at any time while your account is open, and within the periods in section 19 afterwards.
12.3 We may use aggregated, anonymized statistics that can't identify anyone to improve the Service. For household workers' data, clause 4.2 of the Data processing agreement applies.
13. Our intellectual property
The software, design, text, templates and brands of Casa al Día belong to TSV or its licensors. You may use the documents the Service produces for your household, including giving them to your workers, your contador and your lawyer.
14. Third-party services and recommended professionals
14.1 The Service relies on third-party services such as Stripe (payments), Meta's WhatsApp (messages), the IMSS and SAT portals and the rental platforms. We don't control their availability or their terms.
14.2 We may recommend independent contadores and labor lawyers. They serve you directly and are responsible for their own work. We may receive a fee for these referrals, and we'll say so when we recommend one.
15. Availability and changes to the Service
We aim to keep the Service available at all times, but there may be interruptions for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We may improve or change features. If we remove an essential feature of a paid plan, we'll give you at least 30 calendar days' notice and you can cancel with a prorated refund for the unused period.
16. Disclaimer of warranties
To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't guarantee that the calculations fit your particular situation or that an authority will accept a particular position. This section doesn't limit the rights that applicable consumer protection law gives you.
17. Limitation of liability
17.1 To the extent the law allows, our total liability arising from the Service will not exceed the amount paid to us for the Service for the household or households concerned, by you or on your behalf, in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to it.
17.2 To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or fines, surcharges or inflation adjustments that an authority imposes on you, unless they result from our willful misconduct or gross negligence (dolo or culpa grave).
17.3 Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the applicable law.
18. Indemnity
If you buy the property-manager plan, or use the Service on behalf of others, you will indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your breach of these Terms or of the law.
19. Suspension, termination and account closure
19.1 The account holder can close the household's account at any time in the Service's settings or by writing to hola@casa-al-dia.com.
19.2 We may suspend or close an account if you seriously breach these Terms, if the law requires it, or if there is a security risk. Unless it is urgent or the law forbids it, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
19.3 If the account holder cancels every plan, the account becomes read-only for 90 calendar days after the last paid period ends, so they can download documents or subscribe again. At the end of that period the account closes.
19.4 After an account closes, you have 30 calendar days to download your documents and data. After that, we delete them as described in the Privacy policy and the Data processing agreement, except what the law requires us to keep.
20. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms. If a change is material, we'll tell you by email and in the Service at least 30 calendar days before it takes effect. If you don't agree, you can cancel before then and we'll refund the unused part of any period you paid in advance; if you keep using the Service afterwards, you accept the new version.
21. Governing law and disputes
21.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States of America. Disputes with users who use the Service for business purposes, such as property managers and contadores, will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming. There is no arbitration.
21.2 If you are a consumer, section 21.1 does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the place where you live, or stop you from going to the competent courts there. In particular, if you are a consumer in Mexico, you keep your rights under the Federal Consumer Protection Law, you are not subject to foreign courts, and you may go to the competent Mexican courts.
21.3 If you are a consumer in Mexico, you may file a complaint with the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (PROFECO).
22. Language
These Terms are published in Spanish and English. If they differ, the Spanish text governs for consumers in Mexico and the English text governs for everyone else.
23. General
23.1 If any part of these Terms is invalid, the rest remains in effect.
23.2 If we don't enforce a right, we haven't waived it.
23.3 You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them to a company that continues to provide the Service on the same terms, with at least 30 calendar days' notice to you; if you don't agree, you can cancel with a prorated refund for the unused period.
23.4 These Terms, with the documents in section 1.3, are the entire agreement between you and TSV about the Service. For household workers' personal data, the Data processing agreement prevails.
